As the day moves towards evening, shadows deepen around East Riddlesden Hall and the surrounding trees. Developed from an earlier sketch and using fineliner ink pen and coloured pencil, the study explores the effects of changing light and colour, and the way these begin to alter the atmosphere and character of a familiar view.
