Before The Light Fades

The day is closing on an unused attic room at East Riddlesden Hall. The last light falls through the lattice panes of an old mullioned window, while shadows deepen across a part of the Hall that feels largely undisturbed. Unlike the rooms below, this is not a space shaped by modern interpretation or public use. It simply remains, quiet and largely unchanged. For a moment, before the remaining light gives way, familiar details begin to disappear into shadow.
