Approaching East Riddlesden Hall, the entrance drive opens between trees, with the Hall and Great barn gradualy revealing themselves beyond. Drawn in fineliner ink pen, Arrival began on a single sheet and expanded as Matthew continued to look, allowing the view to grow beyond the limits of the original page. The loose drawing records both the place and the process of discovering it.
